Seiha Karate recently hosted Australia's best male fighter, Tsuneari Yahiro, for 3 sessions targeted to kicking techniques. It was an inspiring weekend for our junior athletes as Tsuneari demonstrated his skills.
Three Seiha students, Belinda Monckton, Charlie White and Holly White recently traveled to Umag Croatia to compete in the 9th Cadet, Junior and U21 World Cup. All fought very well against other world class karateka with Charlie winning his first fight and Belinda coming home with a Bronze medal. Well done!
Congratulations to all of our Seiha students who competed at the QLD State Titles on the weekend. We won 19 medals from 12 competitors with an overall ranking of 3rd. This is the best ranking we can achieve as the top two clubs have hundreds of students!! Results:

The Noumea Cup was a friendly international tournament between New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand. It was a great chance for the athletes to train with 3 World Champions followed by a competition. It also gave us a chance to catch up with our sister dojo in Noumea. Congratulations to:

Sensei Sean and Sensei Robyn recently travelled to Dubai on 8-10 April for the K1 Premier League. Sensei Sean as an Australian referee and Sensei Robyn as a national coach. Congratulations to Ray Morecombe who got Silver in disabled kata.
Congratulations to Holly, Charie and Kyle who completed at the Melbourne International over the w/e. Whilst the competition was hard, they all fought well and came home with medals.

Congratulation to everyone who competed at the Summers. Our hard work this term was evident as every athlete won a medal. The level of competition was very high and the fighting intense. Even so, there was also quite a bit of socialising with athletes from other dojos and with each other, and so a good time was had by all.
