2015 WKF Junior World Championships Jakarta
3 Seiha athletes - Alannah Schramm, Belinda Monckton, and Riana Loffel competed at the recent Junior World Championships in Jakarta. This is the pinnacle of our sport and just getting there represents a major achievement. Well done girls, it has been a big year. Competition is tough - every competitor a National champion - every bout 2 minutes of intense pressure. Alannah and Riana were unfortunately not able to progress past the first round, Belinda won her first 2 rounds before losing to the defending World Champion. A great year of progress and development for all - champions are made through effort and the ability to learn from experience. Sensei Robyn was there keenly observing in her capacity as Lead National Development Coach and Sensei Sean successfully upgraded to WKF Kumite Judge A status. The skill level was high, the competition intense and as always karate moves forward - already Sensei has plans of new things to add to our training in 2016!!
